The mission of Youth Futures DC (YFDC) is to raise the literacy level of the youth in Washington, D.C. and surrounding metropolitan areas, so they may function on the job, in the family, and in society. Our goal is to accomplish this vision by providing our youth with direct instruction in literacy and the workforce so learners can enter an apprenticeship, job-training program, pre-apprenticeship program, or obtain and/or improve employment.
Hence, Youth Futures DC was founded by our CEO whom life mission is to seek out opportunities for our youth and serve as the organizer of what they learned in the classroom (literacy and workforce readiness) to practical real-world applications, providing a more defined voice and choice in the trajectory of their future.
